double-click on autopilot.exe to run the installation. if it does not automatically open, double-click the eplanconfig.xml file in the autopilot directory and select open. it should open in a file browser.
if you have a qemu or vmware virtual machine that you use for development and testing, you will be asked to select a serial number and hh. for the purposes of this article i have selected vmware esxi 6.0. you will also be asked whether you wish to use your own dongle, or select a dongle that is already installed on your computer. select "no" to continue to "complete" and to use the default dongle.
if the serial number is not recognized, then you will have to perform a complete installation of eplan, this is more than likely the first time you have tried installing eplan. the process is quite simple and straight forward, but it is a bit tedious.
please note that although this article refers to eplan for 32 bit and 64 bit versions of office, you can use this article to install eplan for other office versions as well. just substitute your office version in the appropriate places.
before you begin, make sure to check your serial number against the list below. if your serial number is not found on the list, then you can proceed with the installation but once again make sure to provide the 0x360 serial number you are provided by photon engineering.
