How to Upgrade Your DYON Raptor for Recording on Hard Drives
If you own a DYON Raptor, a digital terrestrial receiver that allows you to watch free-to-air TV channels, you might be interested in upgrading its firmware to enable recording on hard drives. What You Need
A DYON Raptor device with a USB port
A USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of free space

How to Download and Install the Firmware Update

After completing the purchase, you will be able to download the firmware file from the same page. The file name is D840010-90.zip and it is about 7 MB in size.
Extract the zip file to your USB flash drive. You should see a folder named D840010-90 containing two files: D840010-90.bin and D840010-90.txt.
Turn off your DYON Raptor and disconnect it from the power source.
Insert the USB flash drive into the USB port of your DYON Raptor.
Connect your DYON Raptor to the power source and turn it on. The device will automatically detect the firmware update on the USB flash drive and start installing it. You will see a progress bar on the TV screen.
Wait until the installation is complete and do not turn off or unplug your DYON Raptor during the process. The device will reboot automatically when the update is done.
Remove the USB flash drive from your DYON Raptor and check the firmware version on the device menu. It should be V1.8.18.
How to Use Your Hard Drive with Your DYON Raptor
Connect your hard drive to another USB port of your DYON Raptor. Make sure it has enough power and space.
Turn on your DYON Raptor and go to the device menu. Select "USB" and then "HDD Manager". You will see your hard drive listed as "USB Disk".
Select "Format" and confirm. This will erase all data on your hard drive and format it for recording purposes. This may take several minutes depending on the size of your hard drive.
After formatting, select "Exit" and return to the main menu.
To record a program, press the "REC" button on your remote control while watching a channel. You will see a red dot on the top right corner of the screen indicating that recording has started.
